August 21st 2025 Hamilton Community Schools’ junior high co-ed soccer team kicked off its season last night at home in a scrimmage against rival Eastside. It was the first game action of the year for both teams, and the Marines showed plenty of promise in just the second year of the program. Eastside opened the scoring with an early goal, but Hamilton answered back when Miles Moughler buried a penalty shot to even the game at 1-1. Just minutes later, Corbyn Jorn found the back of the net to give the Marines a 2-1 advantage. The Blazers rallied before halftime, tying the score and then taking a 3-2 heading into the break. In the second half, Eastside’s experience showed as they netted two goals to pull away and secure a 5-2 victory. Despite the loss, Coach Riggs praised the effort and determination of the Hamilton squad. The Hamilton junior high soccer program, which includes boys and girls in grades 5–8, continues to grow in its second season, giving young athletes a valuable opportunity to develop their skills. 📋 View the Team Roster: https://websites.eventlink.com/s/hamilton-community-schools/Team/d281377a-436e-4ee5-9afe-e136ffab0dcc/Soccer%20(Co-ed%20JH) 📅 View the Full Schedule: https://websites.eventlink.com/s/hamilton-community-schools/Events?for=a03b3ab6-67be-4a13-ad24-34cdf93d48f4&from=2025-07-06&to=2026-07-05&team=Soccer%20(Co-ed%20JH)&teamID=d281377a-436e-4ee5-9afe-e136ffab0dcc
